Fourth & Fifth Grade — where students step into leadership, depth, and the world beyond KapKa.
The fourth- and fifth-grade years are a time of self-awareness, independence, and interdependence. Students start looking toward the world and their place in it. Children in this age group are full of bold ideas and big questions, and our inspiring teachers help them shape this curiosity and passion for learning into meaningful projects and adventures.
Our oldest learners internalize what it means to be a positive community member, a student leader, and an agent of change. Students learn through relationally focused, engaging lessons and responsive support.
They develop a strong academic foundation and student skills that will carry them into middle school and beyond — while gaining the social-emotional skills and understanding to navigate it all successfully. Trailblazers leave KapKa known for being creative, inquisitive, and kind.
KapKa students are prepared for middle schools of all types — public, option, and independent — and are known for being curious, confident community members.

Trailblazers are mentors, role models, and community shapers. They guide younger students and take ownership of the school culture they help create.
Research skills, complex writing, digital literacy, and rigorous mathematical thinking — all in preparation for a confident transition to any middle school.
Bold projects, real-world challenges, and the confidence to lead. Trailblazers develop the social-emotional skills and self-awareness to navigate what comes next.
